Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Author’s Guideline of  PAUDIA : Jurnal Penelitian dalam Bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini since the publication year of 2016.

 

Please carefully follow the guidelines below as you write. Manuscripts that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the author for correction, which will significantly delay the publication of your manuscript.

 

Manuscript:

  • The manuscript is the result of authentic research that has never been published in other mass media or publishers.
  • The manuscript does not contain elements of plagiarism. The editorial team will immediately reject manuscripts that indicate plagiarism.
  • Manuscripts that do not comply with PAUDIA : Jurnal Penelitian Dalam Bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini writing guidelines will be returned to the author before the review process.
  • PAUDIA : Jurnal Penelitian Dalam Bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini takes the issue of plagiarism very seriously. The editor will double-check each article before publication. The editors will check for plagiarism based on as many online databases as possible. A maximum of 20% similarity is allowed for submitted manuscripts. If we find more than 20% similarity index, the article will be returned to the author for correction and resubmission.

 

Manuscript Structure

  • Title
  • Titles should be clear, informative and not exceed 15 words.
  • Headings should not be written in all capital letters (e.g. “CHAPTER TITLE” is incorrect; “Chapter Title” is correct).
  • Titles should not be open to multiple interpretations.
  • The title must be appropriate to the subject matter to be discussed.
  • The title should not contain any unusual abbreviations.

 

  • Author Name and Address
  • Author's name is written without academic degree.
  • The author's affiliation is the author's institution along with the Province of the Institution, and Country.
  • One of the authors should be marked with an asterisk (*) as the correspondence author.

 

  • Abstract
  • Please provide both English and Bahasa Indonesia versions of the abstract.
  • The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive.
  • The abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, the aim of the manuscript, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of the results.
  • The abstract should end with comments on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion and contribution of the research.
  • The abstract should be written in Times New Roman 10pt font, preferably no more than 200 words.
  • Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases.

 

  • Introduction
  • The introduction explains the background of the research, a brief literature review, and the objectives of the research.
  • The most important part of the introduction is the state of the art of the research (science and technology based) and the novelty of the research.

 

  • Research Methods
  • This method section contains the type/method of research used, research subjects, research settings (time, place/location of research), data collection instruments, and data analysis techniques.

 

  • Results and Discussion
  • This section contains the results or research data, analysis of research data, research findings, analysis of findings during the research and the portion of the number of pages is more than the introduction, as well as research methods.
  • Comparison of findings with previous research, and implications of the findings.

 

  • Conclusion
  • This section contains conclusions of the research results written in one paragraph and focuses on answering the research objectives. This section also includes suggestions.

 

  • Acknowledgments
  • This section contains acknowledgments to those who contributed to the research. (LPPM, Ministry of Science and Technology or other sponsors).

 

  • Bibliography
  • Ensure that all information in your manuscript taken from other sources is supported by in-text reference citations.
  • Bibliography must contain at least 20 references to journal articles with DOI.
  • The bibliography should be publications from the last five years (>80%), except for important references (80%). References to textbooks should be minimized (<20%).
  • Bibliography must use Mendeley reference management with APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) style.

 

General Format of Writing

  • Manuscripts must contain 5000-6000 words
  • Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English with standardized language.
  • Manuscripts are submitted in Microsoft Word format
  • The text of the manuscript must use Times New Roman font, 11pt font size, 1.5 spaces.
  • Words from foreign or uncommon languages are written in italics. For articles in Bahasa Indonesia, foreign terms or words should be avoided.
  • Tables and figures are placed in the text group after the referenced table or figure. Each figure is given a title (Figure Caption) below the figure and numbered in Arabic numbering format followed by the title of the figure. Each table is given a table title (Table Caption) and numbered with Arabic numbering format above the table followed by the table title. Figure attachments must be made sure that they can be printed properly (font size, resolution and line spacing are clearly visible). Figures, tables and graphs should be centered between groups of text. If they are larger, they can be centered on the page. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are allowed only for important points.
  • Manuscripts that have been written in accordance with the PAUDIA : Jurnal Penelitian Dalam Bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (in MS Word format, use this article template) must be submitted through the Online Submission System using the Open Journal System (OJS) on the PAUDIA E-journal portal (http://journal2.upgris.ac.id/index.php/paudia/index) by selecting one of the procedures. Then, register as one of the authors or reviewers in the “Register” section.
  • Citations:

In-text citations should be written using the surname and year of publication.

Example:

  1. Affrida (2017) suggests that children's independence is...
  2. Play is... (Fadillah, 2017).
  3. The definition of play is... (Farhurohman, 2017; Fadillah, 2017).
