Correction and Retraction Policy

JIPMat (Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika) is committed to the integrity of the published record. Published articles are not altered silently; any change is made through a formal, linked notice, following the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Correction (Erratum / Corrigendum)

A correction is published when a part of an otherwise reliable article is found to contain an important error (for example, in author names, affiliations, data, figures, or tables) that does not invalidate the main findings. An erratum corrects an error made by the journal; a corrigendum corrects an error made by the authors. The correction notice is published in a later issue and linked to the original article.

Expression of Concern

The editor may publish an expression of concern when there is inconclusive evidence of misconduct or when an investigation is still in progress.

Retraction

An article will be retracted if there is clear evidence that its findings are unreliable (because of misconduct or honest error), if it is plagiarized, if it has been published elsewhere (duplicate publication), if it contains material or data used without authorization, or if it involves serious ethical violations. Retraction may be requested by the authors or initiated by the editor.

  • The retraction notice is published with the title “Retraction: [article title]”, states the reason and who requested the retraction, and is linked to the original article.
  • The original article remains available online but is clearly marked as “RETRACTED” on every page.
  • In exceptional cases (for example, legal infringement), the article content may be removed while its metadata and the retraction notice remain.

How to request a correction or retraction

Authors or readers should contact the Editor-in-Chief at achmadbuchori@upgris.ac.id, citing the article's DOI and explaining the problem.
