Allegations of Research Misconduct
JIPMat (Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika) takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously and handles them according to the COPE Flowcharts and the COPE Core Practices.
What counts as misconduct
- Fabrication or falsification of data, images, or results;
- Plagiarism, including self-plagiarism and text recycling without citation;
- Duplicate, redundant, or simultaneous submission/publication;
- Authorship misconduct (gift, guest, or ghost authorship) and undisclosed conflicts of interest;
- Manipulation of the peer-review process or of citations;
- Ethical violations involving research participants (students, teachers, or schools), including the absence of informed consent or permission.
How to report a concern
Anyone (readers, reviewers, authors, or the public) may report a concern by email to the Editor-in-Chief at achmadbuchori@upgris.ac.id. Please describe the concern and include any available evidence. Reports are treated confidentially, and the identity of the person reporting will be protected as far as possible.
How allegations are handled
- The Editor-in-Chief acknowledges the report and makes an initial assessment.
- If the concern appears valid, the authors are contacted and asked to provide an explanation and supporting data.
- Where needed, the editor consults the editorial board, reviewers, or the authors' institution.
- Depending on the outcome, the journal may reject the manuscript, publish a correction or an expression of concern, or retract the article (see Correction and Retraction Policy), and may inform the authors' institution.
Misconduct is investigated whether it is found before or after publication, including cases discovered years later.
