New Submission Requirements Starting Vol. 18 No. 1 (2027): Generative AI Policy and Author Contribution Statement
Dear Authors and Readers,
As part of our commitment to research integrity and transparent scholarly publishing, ETERNAL (English Teaching Journal) announces two new submission requirements that will take effect starting from Vol. 18 No. 1 (2027).
1. Generative AI PolicyAuthors are required to disclose the use of Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar tools) in the preparation of their manuscripts. The disclosure must state the level of AI use in the manuscript and be written in the designated section of the latest ETERNAL manuscript template.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the entire content of the manuscript.
- Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
- Manuscripts that do not include the AI use disclosure, or that do not use the latest template, will be returned to the authors before entering the review process.
Authors are also required to upload an Author Contribution Statement as a supplementary file during submission. The statement must describe the specific contribution of each author to the research (e.g., conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, writing the original draft, and review and editing).
What Authors Need to Do- Download and use the latest ETERNAL manuscript template, available on the journal website.
- Complete the Generative AI disclosure section in the template, stating the level of AI use in your manuscript.
- Prepare and upload the Author Contribution Statement together with your manuscript.
These requirements apply to all manuscripts intended for publication in Vol. 18 No. 1 (2027) and subsequent issues. We appreciate your cooperation in supporting ethical and transparent publication practices.
Best regards,
Editorial Team
