Guidelines for Authors

  1. Ethical and Responsible Use of AI
    a. Authors must clearly disclose any use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies throughout the research process, including data collection, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Any content generated or assisted by AI must be appropriately acknowledged.
    b. Authors must comply with all applicable privacy regulations and obtain informed consent whenever AI is used to process personal or sensitive data.
    c. Authors are responsible for identifying, preventing, and mitigating potential biases in AI systems to ensure that research findings remain fair, valid, and objective.
    d. All AI-generated or AI-assisted content must comply with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to copyright and intellectual property rights.
  2. AI in Research Methodology and Data Analysis
    a. Authors must critically evaluate the relevance and appropriateness of AI applications in relation to the objectives of the research, taking into account their accuracy, reliability, and suitability for the field of early childhood education.
    b. Research findings generated with AI assistance must be validated through established research procedures and protocols to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility.
    c. The Journal encourages the use of interpretable AI models that enable transparent explanation of AI-generated outputs, thereby enhancing methodological clarity and scientific understanding of the research findings.
  3. Academic Integrity and Originality
    a. Any use of AI assistance must be disclosed transparently in accordance with accepted academic citation and reporting standards.
    b. Manuscripts submitted to PAUDIA Journal must represent the authors' original intellectual contribution, including critical thinking, scientific analysis, and academic creativity, and must not rely primarily on AI-generated content.
  4. Transparency in Peer Review and Collaboration
    a. Authors must disclose the use of AI in the peer review process, where applicable, and in collaboration with co-authors. Such transparency is intended to promote academic integrity and strengthen scholarly communication.
    b. In collaborative research, all members of the research team should establish clear agreements regarding the use of AI, data management, and authorship attribution from the outset of the project.

Guidelines for Reviewers

Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Uploading manuscripts to generative AI platforms may compromise confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and data privacy, particularly when manuscripts contain personal or sensitive information. Therefore, reviewers are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscripts and the integrity of their review reports.

Guidelines for Editors

Editors are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all manuscripts submitted for editorial consideration. Editors must not upload manuscripts to generative AI systems, as doing so may result in breaches of confidentiality, copyright, intellectual property rights, or the privacy of authors.
