Peer Review Process

PAUDIA Journal: Journal of Early Childhood Education implements a rigorous and transparent peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of published articles. The system used is double-blind review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to ensure fair, objective, and academically sound assessments.

1. Submission and Initial Evaluation

Submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial team to assess:

  • suitability to the scope of the journal,
  • compliance with writing guidelines,
  • initial quality of the manuscript.

Manuscripts that pass the initial stage will proceed to the peer review process.

2. Peer Review

Manuscripts are sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (members of the editorial board or relevant experts). The assessment covers scientific contribution, novelty, relevance, and clarity of presentation.

Reviewers provide constructive feedback for manuscript improvement. Authors are required to submit original work, free from data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.

The review results are delivered within a maximum of 8 weeks, through the editor. The editor's decision is final.

3. Assessment Criteria

The assessment covers the following aspects:

  • Scientific quality: strength of research and methodology.
  • Originality: contribution to the development of science.
  • Relevance: suitability to the focus and objectives of the journal.
  • Clarity of presentation: structure, language, readability.
  • Research ethics: compliance with research and publication ethics standards.

4. Review Duration

The peer review process is completed within a maximum of 8 weeks. Schedule changes (e.g., major revisions) will be communicated to the author.

5. Decision and Revision

Based on the reviewer's input, the status of the manuscript is determined to be:

  • Accepted: ready for publication.
  • Minor revisions: minor improvements before acceptance.
  • Major revisions: substantial improvements before reconsideration.
  • Rejected: does not meet journal standards.

Authors are required to respond to feedback carefully and submit revisions by the deadline.

6. Editorial Decision

The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers' recommendations and academic ethics.

7. Confidentiality

All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are not permitted to distribute, share, or discuss manuscripts outside of the review process.

8. Process Evaluation and Improvement

The PAUDIA Journal is committed to improving the peer review mechanism. Feedback from authors and reviewers is appreciated to enhance efficiency, fairness, transparency, and ensure publication quality.
