PAUDIA: Jurnal Penelitian dalam Bidang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini is committed to maintaining research integrity, publication ethics, and responsible scholarly communication. The journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and will assess and address such allegations fairly, confidentially, and consistently with its publication ethics policies.
Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to:
Fabrication: Making up research data, results, or findings and presenting them as genuine.
Falsification: Manipulating research materials, data, procedures, or results in a way that misrepresents the research.
Plagiarism: Using another person's ideas, words, data, or work without appropriate acknowledgment.
Duplicate or redundant publication: Submitting or publishing substantially overlapping work without appropriate disclosure or justification.
Authorship misconduct: Inappropriately assigning, omitting, or misrepresenting authorship or contributor roles.
Undisclosed conflicts of interest: Failing to disclose relevant interests that may compromise the integrity of the research or publication process.
Other ethical violations: Conduct that seriously compromises research integrity, including inappropriate handling or reporting of research involving human participants.
Honest errors, differences in interpretation, or disagreements over research findings do not automatically constitute research misconduct.
Authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other individuals may report suspected research or publication misconduct to the PAUDIA editorial team through the contact information provided on the journal website.
Reports should include a clear description of the concern and, where possible, relevant supporting information or evidence. The journal will consider allegations regardless of the identity or position of the person making the report.
Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal's responsibilities and whether further examination is warranted.
The assessment may include reviewing the submitted manuscript, published article, editorial records, similarity reports, research data, relevant documentation, or other available evidence.
Where necessary, the journal may request additional information or clarification from the individuals concerned.
If an allegation warrants further investigation, PAUDIA may contact the corresponding author, other relevant authors, the reviewer's institution, the research institution, the research funder, or another appropriate authority, depending on the circumstances.
The journal will seek to assess the available evidence objectively and provide the parties concerned with an appropriate opportunity to respond.
PAUDIA recognizes that formal investigations into research misconduct may fall within the responsibilities of the relevant institution or competent authority. The journal may cooperate with such investigations while maintaining its editorial independence.
Allegations will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. Information will be shared only with individuals who need it to assess or investigate the concern, subject to applicable legal and ethical requirements.
The journal will avoid treating an allegation as established misconduct before the available evidence has been assessed. All parties will be treated fairly throughout the process.
Depending on the nature, seriousness, and outcome of the assessment, PAUDIA may take appropriate action, including:
Rejecting a manuscript when serious ethical concerns are established during editorial evaluation.
Requesting corrections, clarifications, or additional documentation.
Suspending editorial processing while a significant concern is being assessed.
Publishing a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction when warranted.
Informing the relevant institution or authority when appropriate.
Taking other measures consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.
Actions concerning published articles will be handled in accordance with the journal's correction and retraction procedures.
If the available evidence does not substantiate an allegation, the journal will not treat the allegation alone as proof of misconduct. The absence of sufficient evidence does not necessarily establish that misconduct did not occur; conclusions will depend on the information available and the scope of the journal's assessment.
Knowingly submitting false or malicious allegations may be addressed appropriately when supported by evidence.
PAUDIA may review and update this policy to maintain consistency with recognized publication ethics principles and developments in responsible research and scholarly publishing.
